IP Mumble Comms. Rules for Arma/Squad channels (Draft)

The Arma and Squad/PR mumble channels/In-game comms will have additional regulations in order to prevent excess of audio spam and to enhance communication of our squad. The guidlines are as follows:

1) PURPOSE OF EACH RADIO
Mumble and In-game chat will both be used, but each will have a purpose of their own.
A)On Mumble (Local), depending on the situation people will in one channel if we are in one group,  or in separate channels if we form squads.
B)On In-game squad radio (Squad wide), the entire squad can/Squad leaders can be alerted.
*Squad wide radio should NOT  be used for a situation that does not effect other sub squads.

2) CONCISE INFORMATIVE CALLOUTS
When ever asking for assistance or calling out enemies, ALWAYS use the following format; "what your calling" + "location". Then you can follow with land marks that may help your squad mates. Always aim to keep call outs to as few words as possible, to avoid spamming the comms.
*ex. Enemy infantry, North, 350! By the tower.
*ex. I am down, South of you guys. There is an Enemy East of me.

3) KEEP THE COMMS CLEAR
Comms. should only be used for callouts, questions, and directions. Anything else is not accepted.
*Radio comms. should NOT be used to talk about irrelevant matters. We need to keep the radio chatter down in order to hear our surroundings.

4) CONFIGURING MUMBLE HOTKEYS
It is required that everyone sets up a hotkey for MUTE and DEAFEN on Mumble.
A) Muting the mic may be  important in order to prevent excess noise from the comms. Also deafening the mumble chat (Radio Silence) can be useful for intense moments that require heightened focus.
B) In addition, the keys used for In-game radio should be set as "push to mute" on Mumble, to avoid irrelevent/duplicate chat on the Radio.
*To set up Mumble hotkeys, go to configure/shortcuts.

5) RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
See the following guide: http://ttp3.dslyecxi.com/2_basic_infantry.php

*We will have our own guide set up soon.

6) DISSAPLINE
If a member violates the rules they WILL be warned. If a member continues to violate the rules of Radio communication,  they WILL be muted on mumble temporarily. IF the offender continues to disregard the rules they WILL be banned from Mumble and the group.

New SCCT Versus Map: Dirty Alley

At last a new addition to the collection of SCCT Versus maps has arrived, Dirty Alley. This map features an urban environment with three streets joined by dark alleyways. The map is well balanced, and has a variety of objective types. It's dark city landscape that will bring the inner ninja out of you,  but beware of the security features that await you. Great thanks to Pushek for putting in the thought and effort into this one!

Rocket League: Easy to learn, hard to master

While I was browsing through one of my most favorite procrastnation centres which is 9gag I have found some gifs entertaining to rewatch (actually it's mp4 now, they changed it lately :/):

So basically you drive a car and try to push the ball to your opponents' goal with some aerial car acrobatics (?) and by boosting yourself up.
The game can be played various settings as shown here:

I personally like duel the most because it feels like tennis and pool mixed together which is perfectly presented in this very intense 1v1 match Kronovi vs Gambit shared on Youtube by stevebills:

I am still up for playing 2v2 or 3v3. When you finally learn to control your car and then the ball, you start to notice how positioning and cooperation matters in this game. Let me give you this video from the Rocket League Replays channel, 2015 ESL Finals:

So if you listen to what the players are talking about, you can discover how much team playing matters in competitive matches. It is strongly recommended that you use a gamepad to play this game so make sure you have one. John and I recently got it on steam (link to the store), so hit us up if you have it and want to play.

Project Reality: BF2 Standalone

The time has come, Project Reality (the BF2 Mod) has launched a standalone version. I strongly encourage all of you who have not played project reality to get on this as it is a great experience, and will give you a good taste of the style of game play that the PR development team is going to try to reproduce in their new game "Squad". Enjoy!

  1. Download and install Project Reality RealityMod.com (Official Page)
  2. Open the .ISO file (Disk Image) using a suitable program. If you do not have such a program you can request one from me (Daemon Tools Lite).
The following steps are for opening an .ISO file in Daemon Tools lite:
    1. In Daemon Tools lite, create a new DT drive by hitting the DT drive icon with the + on it.
    2. Mount the .iso file into your new DT drive by right clicking on your new DT drive and selecting "Mount". Find and select your .iso file (example: prbf2_1.3.0.0_full.iso) .
    3. Once mounted. double click on the DT drive (with the iso file mounted) and it will open the iso file
  3. Once the iso file is opened, run the .exe setup file
